The single frame embroidery machine does not move the individual needle but the complete frame with the fabric at maximum speed and accuracy. Depending on the design it moves up and down as well as to-and-fro. The reason is: One fabric frame is mechanically driven and controlled by one unit only, thousands of needles would need thousands of drives and controls.The solid, simple and cost effective construction asked for a ball screw assembly mainly for the vertical movement (linear drive). Another advantage of the ball screw is the high positioning accuracy.
The “Epoca 04” is equipped with a preloaded Carry Ball Screw 25x25 (diameter x pitch) having four (4) ball returns. The screw has a special gothic arc profile which is very suitable for preloading.
